Some 300 Russian companies have joined counterparts from 21 foreign countries for a show of telecommunications technologies which opened in Moscow on Tuesday, 11 May 2010.
The attendance and an exhibition space of 25 thousand square metres make the exhibition the biggest of its kind ever seen in Eastern Europe. There is a smashing display of television, mobile, satellite and Internet gadgetry, with a pronounced emphasis on 3D whenever it comes to pictures or video.
The ribbon-cutter was Deputy Premier Sergei Sobyanin. He spoke about the importance of telecommunications for Russia’s modernization programmes. The closing day is Friday, 14-th of May. It will see ceremonies to award best-performing IT students and present this year’s Radiomania prizes for achievement in radio broadcasting.
